LECTURE TRANSCRIPT
INVOCATION:
In the name of Almighty God, in the name I AM THAT I AM Sanat Kumara, in the name of the beloved Mighty I AM Presence and Holy Christ Self of each one, I call forth the light of beloved El Morya. I call forth the light of the chohan of the first ray.
Beloved legions of light from out the heart of God in the Great Central Sun, brothers and sisters of the Diamond Heart, we call thee forth for the power of the will of God to be made manifest this day in the earth, and we offer ourselves the living chalice for this light of God to descend and to intensify and to magnify the light that does not fail.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we summon hosts of angels, seven mighty archangels, and Elohim. We call upon the Elohim of the first ray and the mighty archangel thereof to send the intense light of the will of God into the economy of this nation, into the government of this nation and all nations. We call for the will of God to hold the balance in this hour. Let God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
In the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, and the Mother, Amen.
LECTURE:
Good morning, everyone. [“Good morning, Mother.”]
Amazing things happen when you discover the will of God as the flame in your heart, as something not opposing your identity or being but actually presenting the key and the formula to the fulfillment for your reason for being.
It is not that we have disobeyed some man‑made law or something imposed from without when we stray from God’s will. It is that we have ignored the impulse of the fire and the light within. The power of God’s will is the eternal bluebrint, the eternal blueprint of one’s immortal destiny.
You find when you give this decree in the understanding of surrender to God‑-as God is truly one’s Real Self, one’s we, one’s real reason for being, one’s identity‑-that all things come together in your life. You have peace you have never known before. You have faith that God will always lead you aright because you maintain the listening grace of Mother Mary, who followed God’s will all the way to giving birth to the beloved Christ Child who is our Lord and Saviour.
The will of God is the most powerful step we can take in our lives. We review now the purpose and identity of the beloved chohans of the rays. Beloved El Morya of the first ray shows us how to become supremely the devotees of God’s will and how to discover what is God’s will and what is man’s, what are the voices that would pull us away from that divine calling, and what is the star that we must follow as he followed it himself when he was embodied as Melchior, one of the three Magi who came to the place of Jesus’ birth. Following the star, following the signs, following the heart, the three wise men could be nowhere else but at the point of the incarnation of Christ.
That is where we desire to be, and that is taking place now in your temple, in your being. God is giving birth to the Eternal Christ in your heart, and your soul would come and offer the gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh to lay at the feet of your own beloved Holy Christ Self.
Having adored, having loved and worshiped, the soul proceeds on the path of initiation by this beloved Christ for the purpose of reunion, for the purpose of the alchemical marriage. The alchemical marriage is the sign of your soul’s oneness with the Eternal Christ. And day by day you come into that union with God, as God within you is your teacher and your beloved.
You need no longer suffer or be in torment or pain or burdened or have upon you the sense of guilt of past sin, for your Saviour is with you. And the saving grace is your love of the will of God present in that Saviour.
Our beloved El Morya has given to us this decree, “I AM God’s Will,” and in it we use the name of God, I AM, as the first line in each of the mantras. The power of the name I AM to invoke the light of the Godhead is infinite.
When you say I AM, the presence of God above you releases that light. You stand in the pillar of fire. You are one with cosmos. This is the power of the name. And when you understand it and make that contact with it, your confidence upon the presence of God increases daily. You lean upon the LORD; the LORD is my strength. And therefore, outer things cannot sway or disturb or cause upheaval; whatever comes and goes within you is God. This is the great message of the Brotherhood of Light and all who have gone before us.
So we take these affirmations and we know they become our own because we tie the knot of the heart as a bow of love with the Christ Self, the I AM Presence. This oneness, this desiring to be that will, this affirmation, this joining of all of our forces in the exercise of the science of the spoken Word is what makes a decree effective in your life.
It is not the repetition of words. You can feed these words into a computer and a computer will give them back to you, but the computer will never become a son of God or make the ascension. And therefore, you see, these words are only as good as you make them by your love, by your devotion, by your determination not to follow any human person but to find the reunion with God that gives you then the power, the wisdom, and the love to serve others. The only reason for the Path is to help others.
So therefore, look not without to a leader. Do not engage in a religion of idolatry, but realize that everything in a materialistic world is calculated to take your attention away from your Mighty I AM Presence.
And therefore, let no man take thy crown‑-no flesh‑and‑blood manifestation, no political saviour, no economic saviour, no false pastors and false teachers. Realize that the kingdom of God is within you. That kingdom is the consciousness of the living Christ. It is yours. Worship the one God and worship him only. Walk under your own vine and fig tree. Listen to the voice of God speaking to you. Take his direction. There are crying needs all over the planet, and they probably begin in your own home. People need your love and light.
If you can be one who dispenses the light of God because you have found the key that unlocks the mighty river of flow of the will of God, you can be God’s servant anywhere, especially in your job. Wherever you are twenty‑four hours a day, you are God’s instrument. It is your reason for being. There is none other.
People say, “What is my divine plan? What shall I do next? Shall I go here, shall I go there?”
Serve the living God where you are. And when you serve him and you come into that rhythm of the heartbeat of God, you know the measured step, the measured cadence. You know where you must be. It becomes very evident that if you do not fulfill your niche in life, in community, or in your nation, that some very important things may not get done. People may not be fed the nourishment they require. You have talents. Unlock them.
This is the purpose of the call to the will of God. It is the refinement of the Diamond Heart within you. It is the finding of that noble purpose that you had in the beginning.
You came into embodiment with a purpose. You stood before Almighty God. You stood with your Christ Self. And God said, “Go to earth! Go be a comforter to life! Go be a healer! Go be a writer! Be a musician. Be a mother. Be a father. Be an example of this or that.” And you have been seeking and searching to find the way, to realize your fiery destiny on earth, to be sure that this time, in this embodiment, you will accomplish the thing to which your soul was set before you took on the densities of these veils.
You can remember. You can go back. You can make contact with the will of God within. You can realize your reason for being. Find those whom you love and who love you. Find your area of service.
The teachings of the Great White Brotherhood bring to us the understanding‑-whether of Jesus or Zoroaster, Buddha or Moses‑-why the great lights of history East and West were unique revolutionaries of God. They found the will of God. They adored that will. By embracing it they established, as it were, an electrode or a magnet within their beings. That magnet impelled the power of the Godhead. God anointed them. And millions of people following in their footsteps also found the key to the will of God.
The universal Christ is in all of us. The same Christ that empowered Elijah and Elisha or the apostle Paul is also with you. It requires the awakening. It requires the devotion, the inner listening, and the vow: “Lo, I AM come to do thy will, O God!”
Here am I, LORD; Send me.
Here am I, LORD; Send me.
It is wonderful to know that there is a living direction in our lives and that it is within our very own hearts. Let us unlock it now with immense devotion to God. 10.03. [pause 3 sec.]

The ascended master El Morya had many incarnations of devotion to the will of God. In each of these he teaches us how to apply the devotion to that will which we would have. We need only study his life as Abraham to realize the tremendous dedication and will that he had. The joy of that embodiment, the dedication, the willingness to sacrifice was extolled by us and expounded upon in our 1982 conference, and all of those lectures are available on those two albums from the Heart. That was 2,000 B.C.
In the first century B.C., he was embodied as Melchior, one of the wise men; the fifth century, Arthur, king of the Britons. Between 1118 and 1170, he embodied as Thomas a Becket; 1478 to 1535, Sir Thomas More, who became, as you know, Saint Thomas More; from 1542 to 1605, Akbar the Great, Mogul ruler of India; the embodiment as Thomas Moore the Irish poet, 1779 to 1852; and in the latter nineteenth century, El Morya Khan in India.
In each of these embodiments, we find the glory of the will of God which we desire to make our own. With great love for his sponsorship of this organization and his teaching us from the beginning, we sing. And let us invoke his momentum of devotion now into all problems of the nations.
INVOCATION:
Beloved Mighty I AM Presence, beloved Spirit of the Great White Brotherhood, Elohim of God, mighty archangels, touch now these hearts with the will of God. Purge each and every one who has gathered here of all forces of the anti‑will moving against the divine blueprint for each soul and lifestream.
Beloved El Morya, enter now into our temples. Let us serve the holy will of God. Teach us the perfect way of the path of individual Christhood. Send thy legions of angels of the Diamond Heart, beloved El Morya, and reinforce that divine will in the economies of the nations, in the governments, in the culture and education, in all things happening this day in this nation and every nation represented here and in the whole world.
We call for the balance of forces. We call for the cleansing of the environment. We call for the transmutation by the violet flame of all pollution both within and without. We call unto you, beloved El Morya, for the perfecting of our heart’s devotion to God’s holy will.
In the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, and the Mother
If you would like to take some notes on brief facts concerning Morya’s embodiments, I’ll give them to you.
As you know, the ascended masters and angels, Elohim, and saints of God in heaven serve humanity on one of the seven rays. The specialization of their devotion, their concentration to holy purpose enables them to become experts, whether in education and science or government, whether in the arts, and many, many other facets of human life.
We begin then, this Monday, taking up the saints of God who serve on the first ray. The first ray is the ray of the will of God. That will is power. As you know, without will we can do nothing. Without determination, without even the will to live, life ebbs. Thus, will is the very first beginning, it’s the premise of existence, and all of the other rays follow this.
The seven rays illustrate an order of the Path, steps of initiation. These steps, then, when followed, lead to our internal, internalization and balance of the qualities of the seven rays. The seven rays emanate from the Godhead as when the light is passed through the prism.
We are all intended to be expressions of God’s light; and yet, we have a limited manifestation, as it were, a finite chalice. And therefore, we claim one of the facets of God’s consciousness and we go for it. We become educated on it, we gain experience, and soon we gain a certain qualification.
So it is when following one’s sacred labor or calling. The soul tends to follow the calling lifetime after, after lifetime. And thus, the explanation of genius is the accumulation of mastery in a certain area.
One of the things that disciples of the ascended masters like to determine is what ray are they serving on and what master is the one most able to teach them and help them in the path to which they have set themselves. So you need to get to know each master and also the quality of the ray, and in so doing, understand yourself.
As you know, El Morya’s retreat is the Temple of Good Will. The masters’ retreats are not in the physical octave, by and large, although many have physical focuses, but they are in another dimension which we call the etheric octave. So we speak of the etheric retreats of the Great White Brotherhood, and they are dotted around the planet, as the ascended masters in that dimension train their students.
We know that we live in many dimensions of consciousness. We know that we derive inspiration and ideas from somewhere else. Suddenly an idea is in the heart and mind, and we go for that. We realize, then, that we have a higher consciousness. And that which we see occupying physical time and space, the person that we know, is just one part of our being.
The chart behind me illustrates that being. The upper figure shows the I AM Presence. It’s called the Divine Monad. It is the point of light of the Godhead, the presence of God with us. We have descended from that source. Each time we take incarnation we descend into form from the point of our God-reality.
The middle figure in the chart is the mediator between that great God-reality and the outer evolving human self. It is called your Real Self, your higher consciousness, or your Christ Self. It is the point wherein we share the presence of the universal Christ, the one Mind of God.
God is one and yet individualized for each and every one of us. Even Jesus said, my God, and your God , [Footnote 1: : John 20:17]
speaking of that very personal nature of God with us to whom we speak and pray, with whom we walk and talk and share life’s greatest burdens and joys.
The lower figure in the chart represents the evolving soul, the person that is going through time and space, working out karma, gaining, putting on more and more of that higher consciousness.
And ultimately the goal of that soul at, as it has been taught in both East and West, is the reunion with the Higher Self, with the higher dimensions. And that is the path of the resurrection of the, and the ascension which Jesus taught.
So in the retreats of the Great White Brotherhood, our souls study while our bodies sleep. We make take leave of these bodies; the soul, the higher consciousness which knows no boundaries moves in the vehicle which we call the finer vehicle, the etheric body. And thus, much of our advancement and progress in the light comes beyond the flesh. These bodies and this identity we wear and this mind trained in this lifetime is the effect of many causes: the first cause being God; secondary causes being the karma we have set in motion, the law of cause and effect. We set in motion causes in previous embodiments; these return to us as effect. And those effects are cycling through on a daily basis.
We desire not to be creatures who are victims of our karma, but we desire to understand the law of cause and effect. We desire to unite with the living Christ, Jesus, our Saviour, and our own higher consciousness; to master our karma; to overcome our limitations, our mistakes, our so-called sins; and to invoke the violet flame that is depicted in the chart to transmute these.
It is a very powerful experience, which at least ninety percent of those in the tent today have already had–that contact of the light descending, feeling the transformation of God and knowing that we have found the thread that leads back to the Real Self, the inner identity, and our cosmic purpose.
So this is what we study in El Morya’s retreat. We study an understanding of God’s government on earth: first and foremost, the governing of ourselves, the governing of our energy, the governing of our light, the governing of our lives, the organization, the order of being. These, then, applied to the family, the community, and the nation, become a vast science of God’s government through human representatives on earth.
The beauty of the Temple of Good Will in Darjeeling is seen in the towering minarets, “gleaming white marble, so unlike and yet like the Taj Mahal.” Morya has art treasures that are resplendent, magnificent statues of Buddhas. He has souvenirs of cultures of the world going back to the days of Atlantis and Lemuria, these preserved in the etheric octave. There is a chapel, there is a hall where Morya sometimes dictates, there is a library where he holds his fireside chats. The sense of the flame, the blue flame of the will of God, is present. Morya receives here in their finer bodies the world’s statement, the world’s statesmen and the humble chelas alike–all whose love for the will of God has been greater than the love for the lesser self. The credo of the Brotherhood at Dar, at Darjeeling is “I Will.” I will.
It is the desire of beloved El Morya to see all free from limitation, senses of discrimination, sense of the human ego exercising its power to subjugate the living Christ, and the human consciousness.
There are various evolutions who serve from Darjeeling, where the Darjeeling Council of the Great White Brotherhood meets. There are angels of the diamond-shining Mind of God, angels of the Diamond Heart, brothers and sisters of the Diamond Heart. There are legionnaires of the holy Temple of Good Will who do battle with the forces of evil, who work with the legions of Archangel Michael, who is the archangel of the first ray, and the Elohim Hercules and Amazonia.
Morya’s title is Lord of the First Ray, and this is the meaning of the word “chohan.” Chohan means lord or master of the first ray. It means one who embodies the will of the flame, one who embodies the qualities of God’s consciousness that he sends forth from the seat of the Godhead to be manifest in our lives.
He is known as the Chief of the Darjeeling Council of the Great White Brotherhood. The Great White Brotherhood is the name of the unity of the saints robed in white, mentioned again and again in the Book of Revelation. They are the ascended masters, the saints, those who have graduated from earth’s schoolroom.
There are many souls who have taken the course of living life on earth, mastered circumstance, and gone on to other dimensions. For whatever there was to be learned in this octave, they learned. They rendered their service, they left very precise footprints in the sands of life for others to follow. They met the requirements of what the evolutionary chain can provide on this planet, and they went through the self-transcending process.
These masters then form councils to help those yet evolving to see through their own self-delusions, their old, own self-misconceptions through their karma. The Darjeeling Council
then is formed to assist all those who are serving in the governments and the economies of the nations. Meeting with the Darjeeling Council are masters such as Jesus, Mother Mary, Djwal Kul, Kuthumi, the Great Divine Director, Kuan Yin.
Beloved El Morya is the founder of The Summit Lighthouse, which was founded in Washington, D.C., in 1958 through Mark Prophet. He has been our guide and teacher, the sponsor of our messengership. And the power of his presence is something that is one of life’s greatest treasures to me. The presence of the one that you identify as Saint Thomas More, the full appreciation of the being of Morya can fee, can truly only be known and felt as you yourself become devoted to the will of God. It is through the flame itself that we come to know others of a similar calling, not the least of whom is this beloved saint.
As you know, beloved El Morya is the sponsor of the Order of the Good Samaritans. This is an order that we would follow physically and in all ways. We have made it a very important part of our lives to see that all of our staff and many of our members throughout the world have training and experience in first aid and CPR, who are prepared at all times to help at the scene of accidents. This has happened over and over again–that we come upon that scene and we are able to restore life, to prepare and hold the flame until the paramedics arrive.
It is a great opportunity when you have the talent in hand. You realize how much the need is there and how, because you are prepared, the need somehow arises when you are present.
The Order of the Good Samaritans is not only the care of the body, the physical body, of hearts and souls in need and burdened, but it is also the spiritual nourishment of bringing souls what they need for the healing of the psyche, for the healing of the four lower bodies, the tender understanding that helps people who have gone off the deep end through drugs or alcoholism, who are severely burdened by situations of life that they have not been able to surmount. The rescuing of souls from the very toils of drug addiction is something that requires love as well as an intense determination of the will of God to fight that very powerful force that holds some in its grips.
We realize that our religion is for the service of all life, and that our hearts, our souls, our minds must be open to that calling and that need. All around us there is the cry for help at some level and those so burdened that they know not that they need help. And as we know today, as we seek to help those on drugs, that those who are addicted are very aggressive in the defense of their addiction. And we know that that aggression defending heroin or cocaine or marijuana is a part of the substance itself, a part of the chemistry, a part of the entities involved.
And thus, to be a Good Samaritan demands an understanding of the science of exorcism, a science of the will of God, a science of the Holy Spirit that through the spoken Word can call down that light and fire and help those in need.
As I receive calls from all over the world for prayer and letters of testimony, hundreds and thousands of witnessing comes to
me of the making of the call, the instantaneous answer, and the relief of people because you have made the call, because you have sent forth the prayer, because you have called to Archangel Michael to cut them free.
It is a wonderful experience to see the joy, the excitement, and the astonishment of students of the ascended masters when such great miracles occur because you make the call. And it is almost as it is a surprise to think that such great things are happening in our lives, such great miracles, because we make the call, because we are beginning to understand the science of unlocking the power of God. This is taught to us by Jesus. It is taught by beloved El Morya.
I would like to mention, therefore, a few points of these embodiments. Abraham, about 2,000 B.C., was born Abram in Ur of the Chaldees, ancient city of light. He was the son of Terah. Terah took his family; they moved to Canaan. Abram obeyed God’s voice. He received the promise: Unto thy seed will I give this land.
God said, “And I will make of thee a great nation.”
When he passed his initiations before Melchizedek, his name was changed to Abraham. He was known as the “friend of God,” which is a holy office in itself. He proved his faith in the offering of his son Isaac on the altar. He is considered the Father of the Faith in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
In the first century B.C., he was one of the Magi. These were members of the priestly class of ancient Persia. They were followers of Zoroaster. They were astrologers, astronomers. They knew the science of the signs of the stars also being the effect of prior causes. He was also called Melchon, which signifies “king of light.” “King of light” means the one who holds the key to light or the unlocking the light, of the light of God within one’s chakras or spiritual centers.
As Melchior he studied the moral and physical sciences. He paid homage to the child Jesus with a gift of gold and fulfilled the prophecy of Psalms, May all kings…fall down before him.
We always see in action in El Morya an understanding of devotion to God’s will. Here we find him one of high office rank and attainment in his own land and his own religion. By meditation upon the heart, by ancient prophecies, by studies of we know not what, by contact with his own lineage of teachers, he divines the place and the hour of Jesus’ birth. This ability, for example, we call mastery. It is a certain mastery of knowledge of oneself and in the Buddhic sense of the going within and contacting the universal Mind. Only the attunement with Almighty God on the part of these three could have brought them to that place.
We take it for granted that it should have happened and that, that it was prophecy. But how many of us today could divine from within and from the stars the point on earth where a special avatar is being born or any of the other events of God that we should be aware of? What we are realizing, then, is that lifetime after lifetime, building a momentum of oneness with God, this the soul retains.
And in each succeeding incarnation you see a greater and greater power appearing in the life of the soul of El Morya.
King Arthur, according to much research done by archae- ologists and others today, one known as Geoffrey Ashe, is definitely a person who existed in the fifth century A.D., a British war leader who defeated the Saxons. He was acclaimed as master of Britain, Ireland, Iceland, Gothland, the Orkneys, Norway, and Denmark. He established the Order of the Round Table at Camelot. He was deserted by knights who went out questing the Holy Grail. He experienced a series of betrayals of his own, instigated by Morgana Le Fey and Mordred, his own son; and according to legend, died at the Isle of Avalon, possibly buried at Glastonbury. And of course, the legend and the belief is that he shall return as the future king.
There is a tremendous amount to be learned from this lifetime, and as there is time we’ll take up specific incidents of these embodiments. I wanted you to get an overview this morning. That was the fifth century A.D.
In 1118, Thomas Becket was born on December 21 in London. He was educated as a clerk and accountant. He was appointed Archdeacon of Canterbury in 1154 by Henry II and Chancellor in 1155. The conflict of church and state ensued. They had been the finest of friends prior to Thomas assuming the office of Archbishop of Canterbury in 1162. At that point he resigned his chancellorship. He fled to France in 1164 to avoid imprisonment, for he took upon himself not only the mantle but the very identity of the servant of God.
Some of you who love the film that was made on Becket may remember those famous lines when Henry says, “Thomas, when did you begin to love God?” [laughter] And Thomas replies, “I began to love the honor of God.” And in all honor, he could only serve that post according to the predestined office. He would not use it to allow Henry to control spiritual affairs, and Henry did not like it.
Thomas was in exile six years. He returned to England in 1170 after a reconciliation with Henry. We remember the famous line quoted, “Are there none who will rid me of this man?” And so he was murdered by the king’s agents in 1170, in Canterbury Cathedral on Christmas Day. He was canonized as a martyr in 1173. One of the great inspirations of our devotion is found in the life of this saint.
Going on to be Sir Thomas More, we find the irony of the reincarnation of Thomas Becket as Thomas More and the reincarnation of Henry II as Henry VIII. [laughter] So the old friendship and the old feud continues.
The people were so outraged when Thomas Becket was murdered that Henry II did public penance in Canterbury for his role in the affair. But that did not set well with him. It was not a true resolution. As Henry VIII, he stripped Thomas Becket of all sainthood, got rid of all of his remembrances and devotions. He carried the grudge into the next embodiment. He would have no part of the sainthood of Thomas Becket.
And so, he would have no part of the sainthood of Thomas More, but he could never keep Thomas More from being the saint. One of the great lessons we learn and must always be aware of: that nothing outside of ourselves can take from us our faith, our love of God, the inner reality of who we are unless we allow it. It is not what happens to us, but our reaction to the chain of events. And this is what is so sublime in the life of Thomas Becket and Thomas More.
More was born February 7, 1478, in London, once again. It is so often true that we reincarnate where we have unfinished business, and all of the people who were a part of the drama of our existence–those who loved us, those who murdered us–are all gathered once again because the Great Law of God gives us opportunity to resolve.
The universal law of harmony desires revolution, desires resolution. And this often takes a revolution, the turning around of our worlds. We have to surrender something to transcend the former mistakes. We cannot keep our pride of the past or our arrog, arrogance or our vengeance or our revenge and outplay it all over again without incurring more karma and binding ourselves by
these qualities in our consciousness. We bind ourselves to limitation, to disease, to early death by retaining that hatred for this or that part of life. Hatred binds and love liberates.
In understanding the saints’ devotion to the will of God, we see that it is the uncompromising devotion to principle and the attempt to truly establish principles that are the highest values of God and man. If we are loyal to principles that are no principles, then what good are we? As Jesus said, “Thieves are loyal to one another.”
But when we find and discover within our own hearts–not imposed from without but within our own being–the honor and the principles of God, when God speaks to us and we commune and we know his angel has touched us, then all other voices pale. And we must be true to that calling, else we cannot be true to ourselves.
The strength, the humility, the understanding of this honor of God is a perpetual source of my strength and my love for the beloved Saint Thomas. I cannot tell you what is the strength of God when you have found and made contact with that source of the highest principle of your life who is none other than Christ the Lord. It becomes the guiding star, and you can do anything. You can do anything that God wants you to do because God empowers you to do it and because you have that commitment. With Abraham, you desire to be the friend of God. And so, More wrote his Utopia , the analysis of economic and social conditions in Britain, in 1516.
I had the privilege of holding in my hand an original copy of that book when I was in London. It was really a thrill. And I
went to the Tower of London and I communed in the cell where Thomas More was before he was beheaded. As usual, Henry appointed him Lord Chancellor, 1529. [laughter] He had his clashes with the king over the, the king’s intended divorce. He resigned when the clergy acknowledged Henry as the head of the Church of England. He was imprisoned for fifteen months for failing to subscribe to the Act of Supremacy.
And so, he was beheaded on the Tower Hill, July 6, 1535. He said that he died the “king’s good servant, but God’s first.” And he was canonized in 1935.
You may recall the anguish of one of his daughters, his wife’s inability to comprehend why he could not simply sign a little paper and live happily ever after with them and their family. It was a very bitter pill for that family to swallow, to see the death of their beloved. And for all of England, it was one of the greatest tragedies that had ever occurred since the murder of Becket. And why did he do it? The same reason that Jesus allowed himself to be crucified.
There’s a great message here. The message is that when you determine to embody the Christ and not simply assign that Christhood to one man two thousand years ago, but when you determine to put on that light, the forces of anti-light wherever they may be lodged will array themselves to destroy that light.
These great teachers wanted us to see that there is a price to be paid for freedom. There is a price to be paid if you want the true spiritual mastery of your life. If you want to go with the
mass consciousness, go with the crowd, eat junk food, sit in front of the TV set, do nothing with your life, just vegetate and let someone else tell you what to do, it’s easy. You won’t have a problem in the world, except maybe the tax collector, and, a, maybe the money isn’t going to be worth anything one of these days. And all of a sudden tragedy comes, karma descends, someone you love the most develops a terminal illness. Where are your spiritual resources? Where is your momentum of contact with God? How do you face the inevitable, inexorable law of karma outworking in our lives?
If you want to face them as the saints have faced them, then you need the spiritual resources, then you need an inner life of prayer and devotion to God. It doesn’t matter what church you belong to, what religion, what master you prefer, with whom you worship, or whether you go in the mountains to pray. It matters that withinside of yourself you experience God and that you simply do not allow someone else to lay upon you a system of orthodoxy, a system of dos and don’ts that you never study and analyze and make a part of your life.
Once you have accepted a principle of living and of God, then you also must be willing to live for it, live for it ultimately. How can we understand where the principles of God’s law will take us if we don’t follow them and honor them and realize that there are immense benefits to this devotion?
It is not a life of self-denial that the ascended masters teach but a life of self-fulfillment. To those looking on, More and Becket appear to be as martyrs. They were not martyrs, just as Jesus was not a martyr. They had the supreme joy of union with God. It is the greatest joy of all existence in all octaves. If it were not so, millions of people on earth today would not be seeking that point of reunion with God, and they would not be acting out their violence and their psychology and their fears. Because all of that which has erupted is the expression of the soul that says, “I want union with God.” And the souls that cannot find it or will not find it or will not hear get into all kinds of psychological problems for one reason: God is missing in their lives and that inner contact is not there.
You cannot give it to them if you do not get it for yourselves. And I cannot give it to you. I can only point the way that all the saints have already pointed.

This lecture, A Review of the Embodiments of El Morya, was given by the Messenger of the Great White Brotherhood Elizabeth Clare Prophet July 2, 1984 during The Flame of Freedom Speaks, an international conference for spiritual freedom held in the Heart of the Inner Retreat at the Royal Teton Ranch near Livingston, Montana.
El Morya’s Offer to Help Us
Resolve Our Personal Problems
El Morya has given us a dispensation whereby he will help resolve our personal problems so that we can take on the larger challenge of decreeing for the planet and world conditions.
He instructed us to write our burdens on a piece of paper and during our decree sessions to place the list face down on our right knee. Next place the wallet card of his image face down on top of it and then our right hand over both. He asked us to make a quick call for the resolution of our problems and needs and then give our all in our decrees for world conditions.
This tremendous dispensation has produced positive results for many students who have taken advantage of El Morya’s offer.
Who is El Morya?
El Morya is the chohan of the first ray and chief of the Darjeeling Council of the Great White Brotherhood. El Morya represents the godly attributes of courage, certainty, power, forthrightness, self-reliance, dependability, faith and initiative. These are the qualities of the Father principle—the statesman, the executive, the ruler.
Because he has ably outpictured these essential virtues, El Morya has, through many embodiments, worn the crown of authority, ruling many kingdoms wisely and well. His rulership has not been that of a dictator, demanding that his subjects submit to his human will; but rather, his interpretation of government is God-over-men and his concept of true statesmen is God’s overmen. He inspires in his subjects illumined obedience to the holy will of God.
El Morya, the Statesman.
El Morya, statesman, poet, economist and saint, founder of The Summit Lighthouse® and beloved Guru of the Messengers Mark L. Prophet and Elizabeth Clare Prophet and their chelas: “Not my will but thine be done!”
Statesmen, leaders and organizers are on the first ray under El Morya.

El Morya’s Previous Lifetimes
The Master Morya was embodied as Abraham, the first Hebrew patriarch; Melchior, one of the three wise men; King Arthur, guru of the mystery school at Camelot; Thomas Becket, Archbishop of Canterbury; St. Sergius, founder of over 40 monasteries in Russia and one of the Russian Orthodox Church’s most highly venerated saints; Sir Thomas More, the “man for all seasons”; Akbar the Great, founder of the Mogul empire in India and the greatest of its rulers; and Thomas Moore, the Irish poet laureate.
El Morya ascended in about 1898 after his work with the Master K.H. in founding the Theosophical Society. El Morya has served tirelessly with Saint Germain in the cause of world and individual freedom, training public servants to externalize the will of God through God-government on earth.
El Morya – The Temple of Good Will Retreat at Darjeeling, India
The Temple of Good Will is the etheric retreat of the master El Morya located above the foothills of the Himalayas above the city of Darjeeling, India.
Magnificent, radiant currents of light pour from his retreat, which also has a physical focus in the hills surrounding the city.
The etheric retreat is a glistening white building in Moorish architecture, square with minarets at the four corners and a large central flame-shaped dome.
The walls are as thick as a medieval castle. The apertures are also flame or dome-shaped, delicately shaded in a pale blue as are the doorways, the apertures atop the minarets and the carvings that mark the divisions of the four stories of the retreat.
As we enter this headquarters of the inner-world government, on the first floor, we are shown the main auditorium. At the far end is the focus of the diamond heart, ministered unto by the devas and Brothers of the Diamond Heart. On a raised altar there is a pale-blue diamond with a delicate blue flame encompassing the white flame that is visible in the center of the diamond.
