INVOCATION:
In the name I AM THAT I AM, O Lord Gautama Buddha, we are grateful beyond words and offer unspeakable praise for thy presence with us, for thy establishment of the western Shamballa here in our mountain valley, here in Morya’s Avalon, here in the light of the Holy of Holies of each one’s own heart chamber.
O beloved friend of light, O beloved master of the eternal cycles, because thou hast sought and found the victory over all human suffering and the precious principle of desirelessness centered in the eye of God’s desire, we bow before the light of Elohim in thy heart. We adore the threefold flame of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and the eternal fount of the Mother, the object of thy adoring.
Beloved Gautama Buddha, press close to us in this hour, in the hour of the approaching of Helios and Vesta. Prepare us to receive noble hearts of light, Father/Mother Presence in all creation. Receive us, LORD, now as we receive thee.
In the name of the entire Spirit of the Great White Brotherhood, Amen.
Good evening, everyone. [“Good evening, Mother.”] Won’t you be seated.
Let us give our attention now to the masters of the East and the Far East. Our meditation is upon Zarathustra, hierarch of the ancient religion of Zoroaster. Our service is now set for the evening dictation, and we do request that those who have a problem with a cough observe the dictation in the tent provided. 465. [interruption 1 min. 9 sec.]
Ahura Mazda inspired upon Zarathustra the religion of the sacred fire. Although I am not an expert on Zoroastrianism, in my study of it I have not found any teaching or principle that is in any way in conflict with today’s teachings of the Great White Brotherhood.
There were a succession of individuals who held the office of Zarathustra, a lineage. And in its heyday, the preaching of the message of sacred fire, of Armageddon, of hierarchies of good and evil, of fasting and prayer and self-purification swept through the land of ancient Persia.
Today this Zarathustra is an ascended master whose consciousness bears as an auric emanation of fire that is an all-consuming love, a piercing light that goes to the core of whatever is unreal. We call him a Buddha because the term Buddha signifies a level of initiation. And thus he has the attainment of the expansion of the threefold flame and of the Christ Mind‑-it is called the Buddhic level‑-as does Jesus and Kuthumi.
Thus, beloved Zarathustra comes in this moment to pass a torch of fire to us. I would like to make an invocation as you center in your heart and visualize your heart as a blazing sun of living flame.
INVOCATION:
Beloved Mighty I AM Presence from the heart of God, beloved Zarathustra, legions of light of Ahura Mazda, Seven Holy Kumaras, hear the call of my heart and of these souls of light gathered. Their chalices are raised, O God, to receive thy wondrous outpouring.
Purge us, then, of all that is less than God-desire. Show us the way now to transmit this light for the saving of a planet and a people. O give us love and chastening love and compassionate love that does not allow us to remain in ignorance as, heart to heart and friend to friend, we also confide in all honesty to one another.
Expose our error and also expose the truth, the rock of Christ within us, that we might know that eternal rock as the haven of safety. O God, Elohim, we attend thy coming and the consummation of thy love within our temple.
Now, O angels of Zarathustra, angels of Ahura Mazda, gather round. Millions of angels, fill now our retreat. Surround each one. Lead them gently and tenderly as we place our hands in the hand of angels of the sacred fire.
O Melchizedek of the ancient priesthood of the living fire, come also in this hour. Let us be cleansed by fire, purified, made white. Let us become the crystal of the Mind of God. Use us for healing, O God. This gift we ask in Jesus’ name, our Lord and savor, the living Christ, our Lord and Saviour, the living Christ.
In the name of the ineffable Word, in the name of Mary the Mother, we thank thee.
[Song 465, “Zarathustra,” sung 1x.]
Although the requirements of the law on the path of discipleship are the same for all, perhaps no two individuals arrive at the point of attainment in a like manner. Thus the quality of the heart, of the balanced threefold flame, is notable for its very special light and virtue in each of the masters and the angels. When you know you are in the presence of Archangel Michael, it is the quality of heart, a devotion to faith and God’s will and the protection of the children of light that has gone on for millions of years.
Because of this very special and peculiar attainment of that light and its peculiar quality, we sit at the feet of the teachers of mankind. The archangels were the very first teachers, and the great manus such as Vaivasvata Manu, Lord Himalaya, and more recently the God and Goddess Meru at Lake Titicaca in South America, and the Great Divine Director his, who is known as the Master R. because he founded the house of Rakoczy.
Each of the masters to whom we give our love and service is very ready and easily able to convey to us not only the potential and the reality of their hearts’ attainment but also the means to arrive at that special quality of grace.
In order that we might equate with the heart flame of Zarathustra, the master gave to us a very special decree specifically for the amplification and balancing of the qualities of power, wisdom, and love in the threefold flame. I invite you to give it with me now so that we can raise our consciousness to a new level of receptivity.
I put this decree very early in our decree book because it is so fundamental to all others that follow. The efficacy of every decree you give is determined by the quality of your heart. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
When we speak to the threefold flame, we are speaking to God. It is God’s fire and his light. Let us address this flame as our personal focus of the Trinity. The Father is the blue plume; the Son, the golden yellow; and the Holy Spirit, the pink. The white‑fire fount of the flame is the light of the Mother. So we are addressing the Godhead in the fourfold manifestation of these principles.
INVOCATION:
Beloved Mighty I AM Presence, beloved Christ Self, beloved Gautama Buddha and Lord Maitreya, beloved Jesus, come now with our own Christ Self and balance these qualities of the sacred fire. Consume by the fire of Almighty God all fear in the heart, all hardness of heart, all human selfishness. Let the light expand and consume the debris of illusion, and let our hearts become the living, pulsating presence of Almighty God, our Father.
In the name of Jesus, we say:
[Decree 0.06, “O Mighty Threefold Flame of Life,” given 1x.]
Now, in further development of the quality of the heart, let us take the prayer of the Magus, the Persian embodiment of El Morya, the prayer of the Magi in the pink section of your decrees. Our beloved El Morya gives us this wondrous prayer based on the bringing forward to the present of the ancient teachings of Ahura Mazda. 30.08. Together. [Decree 30.08, “The Covenant of the Magi,” given 1x. interruption 40 sec.]
As you know, beloved El Morya and Kuthumi founded the Theosophical Society, and prior to El Morya’s ascension, he with Kuthumi and Djwal Kul, the Maha Chohan, Serapis Bey, and Saint Germain were very much involved in establishing the Great White Brotherhood’s first outer organization with the intention of reaching the most from among mankind who would hear the teachings of the Brotherhood.
They were called the Mahatmas. And their letters to A. P. Sinnett, a disciple, have been collected in the book, The Mahatma Letters. So that you might have a glimpse of the personality and character of this master in the thirty years or more before his ascension, I would like to read to you some of his letters and some of Kuthumi’s letters that speak about El Morya. This shows you the difference, the great degree of difference, in the soul personality of the masters, much of which they retain after their ascension.
Sometimes if we are steeped in Eastern mysticism, we imagine that reunion with God is the slipping of the drop into the ocean and all personality disappears and suddenly there is no differentiation between the great lights of heaven as there was when they were on earth. But nothing could be farther from the truth. The God personality of the individual continues to manifest the uniqueness of that path and that ray and that attainment. And thus you will find that in the octaves of light, the beings of light and the masters have far greater differences than we find between one another. This, of course, gives us a tremendous opportunity to study with many masters and to understand their levels of commitment.
These are Morya’s words. [Messenger reads from The Mahatma Letters by A.P. Sinnett, p. 225.] I, am as I was; and, as I was and am, so am I likely always to be [laughter]‑-the slave of my duty to the Lodge and mankind, not only taught, but desirous to subordinate every preference for individuals to a love for the human race.
To me this is a teaching not on being impersonal but on that guarded consciousness that refuses to place anyone on a pedestal, to have an idolatrous relationship or one in which we vest our emotions, our needs, our expectations‑-rather to give one’s love freely as the sun shines upon all.
This is Kuthumi speaking about El Morya. He refers to him as M. [Messenger reads from The Mahatma Letters, pp. 232‑33.] In noticing M’s opinion of yourself expressed in some of his letters…you say he has “a peculiar mode of expressing himself to say the least.” [laughter] Now, that “way” is simply the bare truth, which he is ready to write to yourself, or even say and repeat to your face, without the least concealment or change‑-(unless he has purposely allowed the expressions to be exaggerated for the same purposes as mentioned above); and he is‑-of all the men I know just the one to do it with the, without the least hesitation! And for this, you call him “an imperious sort of chap very angry if he is opposed,” but add, that you “bear him for it no malice, and like him none the less for that.” Now THIS IS NOT SO, my brother, and YOU KNOW IT.
[laughter]
However, I am prepared to concede the definition in a limited sense, and to admit and repeat with you (and himself at my elbow) that he is a very imperious sort of chap, and certainly very apt sometimes to become angry, especially if he is opposed in what he knows to be right.
Would you think more of him, were he to conceal his anger; to lie to himself and the outsiders, and so permit them to credit him with a virtue he has not? [laughter] If it is a meritorious act to extirpate with the roots all feelings of anger, so as to never feel the slightest paroxysm of a passion we all consider sinful, it is a still greater sin with us to pretend that it is so extirpated….And yet in the ideas of the West, everything is brought down to appearances even in religion. A confessor does not inquire of his penitent whether he felt anger, but whether he has shown anger to anyone. “Thou shalt in lying, stealing, killing, etc. avoid being detected“‑-seems to be the chief commandment of the Lord gods of civilization‑-Society and Public opinion.
That is the sole reason why you, who belong to it, will hardly if ever be able to appreciate such characters as Morya’s: a man as stern for himself, as severe for his own shortcomings, as he is indulgent for the defects of other people, not in words but in the innermost feelings of his heart; for, while ever ready to tell you to your face anything he may think of you, he yet was ever a stauncher friend to you than myself, who may often hesitate to hurt anyone’s feelings, even in speaking the strictest truth. Thus, were M. one to ever descend to an explanation he could have told you: (quote) “My Brother, in my opinion you are intensely egotistical and haughty. [laughter] In your appreciation and self-adulation you generally lose sight of the rest of mankind, and I verily believe that you regard the whole universe created for man, and that man‑-yourself. [laughter]
So much for the frankness of El Morya. [laughter] Now you will not be surprised when it comes your way. [laughter] As Morya has said, “If the messenger be an ant, heed him.” So out of the mouth of babes comes the truth. [pause 15 sec.]
This is speaking of the organization of Theosophy, and today the thrust of Morya and Kuthumi is The Summit Lighthouse and this activity. And thus, the admonishment concerning the organization of the Great White Brotherhood applies to us as their chelas as much as it still applies to Theosophy, which, of course, is a very active organization also today, the only difference being that they are not having the continuing dictations of the masters. And so this is why I point to The Summit Lighthouse as their mouthpiece. But the work of Theosophy is indeed valuable. The masters chose our messengership and to train us for the updating of dispensations and information, succeeding, therefore, this dispensation.
And so, [Messenger reads from The Mahatma Letters, pp. 251‑52.] I am sorry to find you comparing Theosophy to a painted house on the stage whereas in the hands of true philanthropists and theosophists it might become as strong as an impregnable fort. The situation is this: men who join the Society with the one selfish object of reaching power making occult science their only or even chief aim may as well not join it‑-they are doomed to disappointment as much as those who commit the mistake of letting them believe that the Society is nothing else. It is just because they preach too much “the Brothers” and too little if at all Brotherhood that they fail.
How many times had we to repeat, that he who joins the Society with the sole object of coming in contact with us and if not acquiring at least of assuring himself of the reality of such powers and of our objective existence‑-was pursuing a mirage? I say again then.
It is he alone who has the love of humanity at heart, who is capable of grasping thoroughly the idea of a regenerating practical Brotherhood who is entitled to the possession of our secrets. He alone, such a man-‑will never misuse his powers, as there will be no fear that he should turn them to selfish ends.
A man who places not the good of mankind above his own good is not worthy of becoming our chela-‑he is not worthy of becoming higher in knowledge than his neighbour. If he craves for phenomena let him be satisfied with the pranks of spiritualism. Such is the real state of things. There was a time, when from sea to sea, from the mountains and deserts of the north to the grand woods and towns of Ceylon, there was but one faith, one rallying cry‑-to save humanity from the miseries of ignorance in the name of Him who taught first the solidarity of all men. He speaks of Lord Gautama Buddha.
How is it now? Where is the grandeur of our people and of the one Truth? These, you may say, are beautiful visions which were once realities on earth, but had flitted away like the light of a summer’s evening. Yes; and now we are in the midst of a conflicting people, of an obstinate, ignorant people seeking to know the truth, yet not able to find it for each seeks it only for his own private benefit and gratification, without giving one thought to others.
Will you, or rather they, never see the true meaning and explanation of that great wreck and desolation which has come to our land and threatens all lands‑-yours first of all? It is selfishness and exclusiveness that killed ours, and it [is] selfishness and exclusiveness that will kill yours‑-which has in addition some other defects which I will not name. The world has clouded the light of true knowledge, and selfishness will not allow its resurrection, for it excludes and will not recognize the whole fellowship of all those who were born under the same immutable natural law.
One final little quote from El Morya. This is on the duty, the responsibility of being a chela, a teacher, and one who has taken upon himself the burden of organization for the Great White Brotherhood. [Messenger reads from The Mahatma Letters, p. 262.]
It is a life long task you have chosen, and somehow instead of generalizing you may manage always to rest upon those details that prove the most difficult to a beginner. Take warning, my good Sahib. The task is difficult and K.H. in remembrance of old times, when he loved to quote poetry, asks me to close my letter with the following to your address:
“Does the road wind up-hill all the way?”
“Yes, to the very end.”
“Will the day’s journey take the whole long day?”
“From morn to night, my friend.”
Knowledge for the mind, like food for the body, is intended to feed and help to growth, but it requires to be well digested and the more thoroughly and slowly the process is carried out the better both for body and mind.
Thus, a peep into the consciousness of El Morya. [pause 22 sec.]
Forty days after the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we celebrate his ascension. And on that day each year, Jesus delivers his Ascension Day address. This year he delivered it right here on this very spot in the Heart. And his release to us was the word from his teacher, Lord Maitreya, that Maitreya had chosen the Inner Retreat to reinstate Maitreya’s mystery school.
This mystery school is the ancient one known as the Garden of Eden. Maitreya was the great master and teacher in the Garden, teaching many other twin flames in addition to the ones noted as Adam and Eve in Scripture.
That Garden of the teaching of the path of the Tree of Life, which is the path of your I AM Presence and causal body, was long ago established for the return of the souls of light who had been tempted and led astray by the fallen angels.
You will remember that, following the expulsion from the Garden, Cain himself went forth into a land where there was a great civilization, the land of Nod, to seek for himself a wife. Thus, the Garden of Eden was not simply isolated, and Adam and Eve were indeed not the first individuals upon earth.
We realize that in the civilization, which has come to be known as the Cain civilization, there was the building of the Tower of Nimrod immediately following the Flood and the proliferation of evil to the point where the judgment came down for the confounding of tongues to limit the proliferation of that evil.
We understand, then, that Maitreya established his mystery school on Lemuria, the ancient continent that sank where the Pacific now is, in order to rescue the lightbearers from a civilization of darkness and of the fallen ones. All was not well on the planet in those hours. Since that time, the mystery school of Maitreya had been withdrawn to the etheric octave, to the Himalayas, and only the very few souls of light were allowed to go there to find Maitreya and to study under him.
Thus, it has been with great, great joy that the chelas of El Morya have received this dictation and now understand that Maitreya’s mystery school is placed here and will continue through the dictations of the masters on behalf of their chelas with the one-pointed purpose of giving to each and every one the sacred knowledge of the mysteries of God necessary to extricating oneself from all maya and delusion, balancing one’s karma, fulfilling one’s divine plan, and returning to the heart of God in the ritual of the ascension.
This evening, then, we honor Lord Maitreya, and I invite you now to sing to him with me.
Please come in. I think while many are gathering we’ll give a Buddhist chant and then give the song to Maitreya. [interruption 1 min.]
AUM. AUM.

Who is Zarathustra?
Zarathustra is an ascended master whose consciousness is an auric emanation of fire that is an all-consuming love, a piercing light that goes to the core of whatever is unreal. Zarathustra is the founder of Zoroastrianism, one of the world’s oldest religions. Zarathustra, its founder, was a prophet who spoke to his God face-to-face. The Greek name for Zarathustra is Zoroaster, meaning “Golden Star,” or “Golden Light.” He was one of the priest class who formulated mantras. He is over the priests of the sacred fire and the priesthood of Melchizedek.
Being in the presence of Zarathustra is like being in the presence of the physical sun itself. The mastery he has of spiritual fire and physical fire is, if not the highest, among the highest of any adept ascended from this planet. If you want to keep the flame of Zarathustra, visualize him keeping the flame, the divine spark, in your own heart.
This office in hierarchy is presently held by one who was embodied as the founder of Zoroastrianism in ancient Persia. He is the highest initiate of the sacred fire on the planet and the governing authority of the energies of fohat. He is over the priests of the sacred fire and the priesthood of Melchizedek.
All members of the Great White Brotherhood serve in the Order of Melchizedek even as they serve the sacred fire, but only those who have reached a certain level of initiation may be called Priests of the Order of Melchizedek. Other members serve the purposes of the Order but do not bear the title of priest. Zarathustra has many disciples serving under him, and when the most advanced of these reaches a certain attainment, he will qualify for the office, and the teacher will go on to cosmic service.
The historical record
Zoroastrianism is the one of the oldest of the world’s religions. Zarathustra, its founder, was a prophet who spoke to his God face-to-face.
Mary Boyce, Emeritus Professor of Iranian Studies at the University of London, points out:
Zoroastrianism is the oldest of the revealed world-religions, and it has probably had more influence on mankind, directly and indirectly, than any other single faith.
According to R. C. Zaehner, former Spalding Professor of Eastern Religions and Ethics at Oxford University, Zarathustra was
… one of the greatest religious geniuses of all time…. [He] was a prophet, or at least conceived himself to be such; he spoke to his God face to face…. [Yet] about the Prophet himself we know almost nothing that is authentic.
Zarathustra lived in a nonliterate society, whose people did not keep records. His teachings were passed down by oral tradition, and much of what was later written down about his life and teachings has been lost or destroyed. What scholars have been able to piece together about him comes from three sources: the study of the historical milieu prior to and during the time Zarathustra is believed to have lived, tradition, and seventeen sacred hymns called Gathas. Scholars concur that Zarathustra composed these hymns. The Gathas are recorded in the Avesta, the sacred scriptures of Zoroastrianism.
It is believed that Zarathustra was born in what is now east central Iran, but that is not certain. Zarathustra’s date of birth is even more difficult to establish. Scholars place it sometime between 1700 B.C. and 600 B.C. The consensus is that he lived around 1000 B.C. or earlier.
Messenger of Sanat Kumara
In a dictation given January 1, 1981, the ascended master Zarathustra spoke of King Vishtaspa and Queen Hutaosa:
I AM come to deliver the sacred fire of the Sun behind the sun to raise you up and to establish in you the original teaching of Ahura Mazda, Sanat Kumara, delivered long ago in the land of ancient Persia unto me and unto the king and queen who received the conversion of archangels and of the sacred fire and of holy angels by the descent of light. Thus, by their lifestreams’ acceptance of my prophecy, there came to pass the multiplication of the bread of life from the heart of Sanat Kumara, whose messenger I was, whose messenger I remain….
The teaching of the hosts of the LORD and the coming of the great avatar of light, the teaching of betrayal and the consequent warfare of his hosts against the evil ones, was understood and propagated. The law of karma, the law of reincarnation, and even the vision of the last days when evil and the Evil One would be vanquished—all of this went forth by the conversion of the king and the queen and the reaching out of the faith to all of the subjects of the land. Thus, the tests were given by the archangels through my office unto these two chosen ones. Thereby passing the tests, they became blessed as secondary emissaries of Sanat Kumara. And therefore, I the prophet and they holding the balance in the earth manifested a trinity of light and the figure-eight flow.
Realize the necessary ingredients for the propagation of the faith throughout the earth. The archangels send their messenger with a gift of prophecy that is the Word of Sanat Kumara to every culture and in every age. Thus, the prophet comes forth with the vision, with the anointing and with the sacred fire. But unless the prophet find the fertile field of hearts aflame and receptive, the authority of the Word does not pass unto the people.
Ahura Mazda
Zarathustra recognized Ahura Mazda, the Wise Lord, as the creator of all, but he did not see him as a solitary figure. In Zoroastrianism, Ahura Mazda is the father of Spenta Mainyu, the Holy Spirit. Spentameans “holy” or “bountiful.” Mainyu means “spirit” or “mentality.” The Holy Spirit is one with, yet distinct from, Ahura Mazda. Ahura Mazda expresses his will through Spenta Mainyu.
Boyce explains:
For Zarathushtra God was Ahura Mazda, who … had created the world and all that is good in it through his Holy Spirit, Spenta Mainyu, who is both his active agent and yet one with him, indivisible and yet distinct.
Simply put, the Spirit is always the Spirit of the Lord. When we speak of the Holy Spirit, it is the Spirit of God.
Who is Lord Maitreya?
Lord Maitreya holds the office of Cosmic Christ and Planetary Buddha. His name means “loving kindness,” and he focuses the radiance of the Cosmic Christ to the evolutions of earth. Guardian to the planet Earth from Venus, he succeeded Lord Gautama as Cosmic Christ when Gautama became Lord of the World at a Royal Teton ceremony on January 1, 1956. Under the office of the Cosmic Christ, Lord Maitreya monitors potential earth changes as well as the comings and the goings of the fallen angels and the progress of the Christs incarnate.
In the history of the planet, there have been numerous Buddhas who have served the evolutions of mankind through the steps and stages of the path of the bodhisattva. Lord Maitreya, the Cosmic Christ, has passed the initiations of the Buddha. He has come to the fore in this age to teach all who have departed from the way of the Great Guru Sanat Kumara, from whose lineage both he and Gautama descended.
The Himalayan Retreat Of Lord Maitreya
Spiritual Retreat Of Maitreya Buddha
Maitreya established his first mystery school on Lemuria, the ancient continent that sank where the Pacific now is, in order to rescue the lightbearers from a civilization of darkness and of the fallen ones. Since the fall of Lemuria, the mystery school of Maitreya has been withdrawn to the etheric octave, to the Himalayas, and only the very few souls of light were allowed to go there to find Maitreya and to study under him.
Maitreya Invites Students of the Ascended Masters to His Retreat
“Your consciousness may travel on wings of infinite harmony into our domain; and then I am sure that we will be able to teach you in a manner calculated to free you from the dregs of your own human feelings, delusions, confusions and problems.
“Here you will be free to receive the blessing of higher initiation conferred upon you first as an idea, as a concept. You will receive from us the direction to return to your body temples with the understanding that your feet, having walked upon the white marble of our retreat, will have received the blessing of our light — not only your feet, but also your entire consciousness, that you may understand that the way to cosmic initiation is to become involved with those beings of light, that band of holy light ones, who are with me…
“The white-robed ones are in place, and the flame is upon the altar—the flame of initiation, the flame of purity. Many of the cosmic monks, so called, the devotees of the Spirit (I think you would call them ‘cosmic monks’), are now trooping into the vast marble chapel we have erected here in the etheric realm in the Himalayas.
